New books!

15 May

The books I ordered from Amazon came in four days early! Now I have five new unread books lying around (not including Jesus of Nazareth) but I guess that is a good problem to have! I am very excited about all three. The first is The Imitation of Christ by Thomas á Kempis which came highly recommended to me as a spiritual guide sort of book. I bought the translation from Ignatius Press which I heard was good. The second book comes recommended from pretty much every source I trust. It is a compilation of journal entries from Cardinal Antonelli, a big mind in the liturgical reform of the Second Vatican Council. I can’t wait to read this! Lastly is The Fundamentals of Catholic Doctrine compiled by Dr. Ludwig Ott. It provides sources to doctrine in Church documents including papal writing.

Best of all… it was all free!! I bought all three book from Amazon gift cards given to me by family for my birthday!
